Obrovská smola lyžiara Svindala: Katastrofálne zranenie pri futbale

VIEDEŇ - Nórsky lyžiar Aksel Lund Svindal zrejme vynechá celú sezónu, ktorej vrcholom budú MS v americkom Vaile. Dvojnásobný držiteľ veľkého glóbusu si totiž pri futbale v Innsbrucku roztrhol achilovku. Informovala o tom agentúra AP.

Úradujúci majster sveta v zjazde mal v poslednú októbrovú nedeľu štartovať v úvodných pretekoch novej sezóny - obrovskom slalome Svetového pohára na ľadovci v Söldene. Nór vyhral SP v rokoch 2006 a 2009, na ZOH 2010 vo Vancouveri vybojoval zlato v super-G a striebro v zjazde.

"Bol som si zabehať so zvyškom nášho tímu. Na konci tréningu sme si povedali, že si trochu zahráme s loptou a budeme sa ju snažiť udržať vo vzduchu. Odrazu som zacítil, že mi niečo v nohe ruplo a vedel som, že je zle. Bola to achilovka." uviedol na svojom facebookovom profile Svindal, ktorý sa na klinike v Innsbrucku už podrobil operácii. "Je to nepríjemné zranenie, ktoré prišlo v ten najnevhodnejší čas. Nikto teraz nemôže so stopercentnou istotou povedať, ako dlhá potrvá rekonvalescencia, no som pripravený zvládnuť nasledujúce týždne, ktorú budú ťažké," dodal Nór.

Nobody can say 100% sure how long the recovery will take, but I'm ready for the weeks to that are coming. I'll stay in Austria for a while before I go back to Norway and discuss further rehab with the crew at the Olympic Center in Oslo. Like I said. Shit happens!
